Biography text

Andy Youell is an experienced data and systems professional who has been at the leading edge of developments in UK higher education data for thirty-five years. He ran data collections at HESA and HEFCE for over two decades and has led numerous national-level data initiatives. He has experience as a CIO and CDO and was a member of the independent review of the 2020 exam grades fiasco that was commissioned by the Welsh Government.

Andy is a renowned speaker and writer on HE data and policy issues and has held non-Executive roles with HESA/Jisc and the Arts University Bournemouth.
