Hex Projectors

2001 to 2007 - Cheltenham

I set up a studio at home in 2001 and spent the following six years recording with Dave Hart - we called ourselves The Hex Projectors, though I can't for the life of me remember why. I played drums, piano and occasionally bass. Dave covered guitar and vocals.

If I

One of our very first recordings

No Fruit

Acoustic version of an old Jang classic.

Goodnight and Hello

We had a lot of recording this one, though the results never quite matched the event

Over You

Dave in full-on hippy mode. Quite sweet

Hangover

Old Jang tune - Chris Davidson wrote the song and sang on this recording

Nobody Came

One of our ealiest recordings - written and sang by Dave Hart.

Calling out your name

Dave goes all Echo-and-the-bunnymen on us

Century Blues

Still amazes me that two blokes in a semi in Cheltenham can sound so much like a live band!

Done it again

An old Wonderful song from my days hanging around in Clevedon. Possibly written by Mr Piers McBride.

Nothing really matters

Written by Dave and trying to get that 60s vibe. Not sure if we succeeded, but love the sound of those tom toms ;-)

Close my eyes

Plodding rock - close your eyes and imagine there's hundreds of people out there, holding lighters aloft

Mary

Written and sung by Chris Davidson - another old Jang favourite

Lost your way

One of our more succesful productions - Dave wrote this and he should be jolly proud!

The other side

Floyd alert! The piano pleases me

Lay down your head

Another Dave creation in a 6/8 ballad mood

I called you up

More 60s vibe
